Our experience with Pete and his team of photographers was nothing short of incredible. From our initial zoom call discussing our options for our wedding, the wedding itself, all the way through our photo album design process - everything was perfect. Pete was so easy to communicate with and really dialed in on what we wanted. The photographers were amazing and for me and my husband who aren’t naturals in front of a camera, made us feel so comfortable. The pictures themselves are absolutely STUNNING, really capturing all the emotions and love from our wedding day. Pete Mackey Video completely changed how we felt about wedding videography. When we first spoke, we were honest that we hadn’t planned on hiring a videographer because so many wedding films online felt overly staged or made for Instagram. They didn’t feel real. Discovering Pete’s work changed everything. We immediately saw the heart, authenticity, and emotion in his films, and we knew his team would capture the true spirit of our wedding day.
From the teaser footage alone, it’s clear that Marty and Fabio captured something incredibly special. They blended seamlessly with our photographers, Sarah and Ryan, moving together like a team that had worked together for years. No one was in the way, ideas flowed naturally, and we always felt comfortable while they captured candid, joyful moments.

Working with Mackey Photo and Video was an absolute dream. From the discovery call to figuring out what we wanted for our wedding day, Pete made it easy and enjoyable. My husband and I don't love being photographed, but working with Pete and Preston made it enjoyable. We had fun, we laughed and we felt comfortable working with them. Looking through the many, many pictures that Pete and Preston took, there were the normal wedding pictures of us as a couple and wedding party portraits, but there were so many more moments captured. Pete and his team are there but never in the way but they capture everything! Looking through the pictures my husband and I are able to relive the day and all of the sweet moments. Even after the wedding Pete was checking in to see how we liked the sneak peak and then the album when it was ready! The pictures are gorgeous and we have received so many compliments on them. We also chose to design a wedding album with Pete and I highly recommend doing the same! Ten out of ten recommend Pete and his team!

We had the absolute best experience working with Pete and his team! You can really tell they love what they do. From the discovery call all the way through receiving our photos, Pete personally made sure we were happy and comfortable with the entire process. We worked with Alyssa on our wedding day and WOW...she did an amazing job! She knew exactly where to go, she had a whole pinterest board of ideas saved for us, and she made sure we had fun from start to finish. I've never seen someone smile so much while working SO hard. She captured everything we asked for and more. My husband and I are so grateful to Pete and Alyssa for capturing our favorite day just as beautifully as we remember it. We'll cherish these photos and memories forever.

Exceptional would be an understatement. Working with Mackey Photo & Video was an incredible experience from start to end. They went above and beyond to get to know us as a couple along with our vision for the day. Working with our team on the day of was an absolute blast, we felt relaxed and at ease and like we could just be ourselves. The final product was beyond what we expected or could have asked for. If you’re looking for someone to not only capture your day, but you as a couple, your family and friends and all of the special moments, then Mackey is the one for you. It's been so hard to write this review because it's hard to put into words what's it's like to work with Pete and his team. They are the most incredible, most passionate and professional team you will ever experience. Not to mention they are hilarious, and you can tell they have the best time together. They have fun while they work !
I want to throw another wedding just to see what they'll do !!
The power went out during our reception and the DJs photobooth didn't work so they jumped in and took photos of our guests until it was up and running again. Not only will you feel comfortable around them all but they will feel like family, like part of the party! And the photos ...are breathtaking. And the video brings tears to my eyes. Every.single.time.
Every detail was handled and taken care of, even though it rained and we had to do portraits inside and pivot from our plans. They handled it all with grace. They handled it all when I was a nervous Bride who had to rearrange it all in the fly.
I also couldn't throw any idea at Pete that he wasn't okay with - When I asked Pete to come with us to Knoebels to take our engagement photos, he said...sure sounds fun!
And remember at the end of the day, after your Wedding, all you'll have left is your photos (and or video) so make sure you hire the best. And Mackey Photo is the Best.
Can't wait to use them again to capture our future family memories!

there’s not enough good things i could say about pete and his team! from the first zoom call to the day of, the communication was easy and didn’t feel overwhelming. pete has such an easy going and welcoming personality! my husband and i do not like attention so the thought of having cameras in our face was nerve wracking, but they truly outdid themselves. you can tell how serious they are not only about their work and vision but also the happiness of the couple they are working with. i couldn’t recommend mackey photo more! i promise you will not regret booking them!

My husband and I hired Mackey Photo and video for our wedding on 9/29/2024. Our experience with their videographer was fantastic. He worked with our photographer like they were partners, and neither of them could get over how stunning our venue was. Even with cloudy, drizzly weather, he made us look our best and I can't thank him enough for that. After our preview video was shared, I had people reach out who I haven't spoken to in years, telling me how it was the most beautiful wedding video they had ever seen.
Although I never got to meet the owner Pete in person, our phone calls and communication throughout the whole process was so easy. It was one less thing that we had to worry about while preparing for our big day. I'd recommend them to anyone who asked!

Peter and his team are the best!!! They made our wedding memorable, and the photos are amazing so far. Peter and his team made us feel like family.
During every meeting with Peter, he would remember everything happening in our lives. We were in the middle of moving to New Jersey from Kentucky, and he made sure to check up on us. He kept us informed the entire time with information.
He is a great photographer, videographer, and caring person!! Our guests still talk about how he was fantastic and blended right in with the guests! I highly recommend Peter and his team to anyone needing photos or video done!!

My husband and I can't stop talking about how awesome our wedding photographers, Austin and Heather, were. Our friends and family loved the energy and genuine kindness throughout the day. Pete Mackey’s team truly made us all feel like we were friends just taking pictures of each other and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Working with Pete throughout the planning process was fantastic. He is quick to respond and truly, truly cares about you. We also did our engagement shoot with Austin, and he was amazing. The Perfect Photographer for your Wedding Day. Mackey Photo & Video are an extremely professional team of photographers that will capture every moment of your day and make you question "How is Peter everywhere all at one moment?". They will somehow capture moments from both perspectives, it is absolute magic. The creativity done in portraits is mind blowing, he is able to capture such pure genuine moments between not only me and my wife, but moments from the whole family. PARTY MARTY was somehow capturing every important moment of the day with his video camera and put together the greatest video I have ever seen. We have watched it over and over and over again until we ran out of tears. Marty is an absolute dream sidekick for Peter and the two of them bounce off of each other so perfectly during the wedding day process.

Working with Pete and his team for our wedding was an absolute dream. From the very first Zoom call to saying goodbye at our reception, every encounter with him was wonderful. He helped with our timeline planning, how to organize our complicated family photos, and made everyone feel like a rock star on the day. We had multiple guests tell us how much they loved him and our sneak peek photos are just insane. We'd recommend Pete and his team to anyone, absolutely best vendor!

It’s taken me a few months to write this review, mostly because I wasn’t sure if I’d ever be able to do Pete and his crew justice in just one short paragraph. Working with Pete was by far one of the best parts of our wedding planning. When we started looking for photographers/videographers, we had about 4 introduction phone calls, and after our call with Pete, he made the decision super easy for both of us. Photography and videography skills aside, Pete is an awesome human, and his personality quite honestly was a huge selling point for us, too. If you’re not used to it, getting photos taken of you can feel daunting, but during our engagement shoot, he made it feel as natural as possible. In my opinion, that goes such a long way. It was also the perfect prep for our wedding day. Our wedding was a full weekend of camping, and when we asked Pete if he could truly be there ALL day Saturday to capture the activities around camp, even before getting ready, he didn’t hesitate. We all weren’t prepared for the monsoon that would forever become the butt of all of our wedding weekend jokes, but the team showed up bright and early and ready to go. Despite the buckets of rain that never let up, Pete, Marty, Evelína, and Mike captured our day in the best way possible. This was evidenced by every single photo and video from our wedding day.
Pete’s work is truly an art. His creativity and attention to detail are remarkable. He will shoot every beautiful moment of your day, and he’ll do it at ANY cost (like sacrificing his safety to climb freshly wet rocks for the best angle). I would be totally remiss if I didn’t mention Pete’s enthusiasm and energy, because those are the things that EVERYONE at our wedding commented on. “WHO was your photographer?!” He kept everyone on the dance floor, he coordinated the sparkler send-off, he did a million things outside of his line of duty. Pete truly gives his all. He did for us, and I know he will for you, too.
